HOME BUYERS
The goal of this website is to support the public with up-to-date information relating to the Home Inspection Industry, and to provide a source to find competent qualified inspectors. Buying or selling a home requires a major investment of time as well as money. And concern over the integrity of an investment, makes the selection of a home inspector important. Most homebuyers are aware of the need for a home inspection. However, very few know what credentials a home inspector should have. Since no license or certification is required in Kansas, there is confusion about the qualifications necessary to perform home inspections. When factoring in the proliferation of inspector schools that recommend the fast track approach to inspecting a home, you may end up with heartache or even tragedy, when serious defects are not reported.
The framework of the association is designed to enhance the expertise and integrity of its membership providing clients with consistent quality inspectors. The Associations Code of Ethics emphasizes honesty and fairness, and recognizes the inspectors responsibility to the public and to the profession.
